Sheep Rehandling Interval (SRI)

The time between treatment and when wool/sheep can be safely handled without the need for protective clothing (shown in days or "Dry", that is, when sheep are dry after treatment).

Wool Harvesting Interval (WHI)

The time from application of a chemical to when the wool can be harvested to satisfy Australian environmental requirements (also includes crutching) for wool to be processed.

Withholding Period (Milk)

This is the period of days between treatment and when milk can be collected for human consumption.

Where 'Yes' is shown, this product has a restriction on its use related to animals currently or that may in the future be used to produce milk for human consumption. Please read the statement on the label.

For some products the Sheep Rehandling Interval is short, only requiring time for the product to become dry on the sheep. These products have 'Dry' in the SRI field.

Where an Export Slaughter Interval has not been established, 'Not set' is noted in the ESI field.

Resistance notes and level

The resistance notes and level are drawn from documented chemical resistance across Australia for specific parasites and are based on the chemical group/s and active/s rather than specific commercial products.

Where a product treats more than one parasite group (worms/flies/lice/ticks), the resistance notes and level are specific to the parasite group of the initial search mode (host and parasite group).

Resistance to a chemical active is likely to differ for each specific parasite within a parasite group that the active targets.

The Resistance notes describe known resistance in Australia for specific parasites within the group.

The Resistance level symbol flags likely resistance across the parasite group, remembering that it will differ for each specific parasite and it will vary from property to property.

 Very low      Some      Moderate     High

It is recommended that product resistance testing is carried out every 3 years on each property, where possible. Resistance testing can be carried out with either a "DrenchTest" or a "DrenchCheck" for worms and liver fluke in both sheep and cattle using worm egg counts; or through a laboratory resistance test for blowflies.
